Perry E. Newton is a dynamic executive with a strong track record in business management, sports governance, and technology integration. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a Minor in Computer Science from Pensacola Christian College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Edinburgh Napier University.

Perry began his career at Cable Bahamas Ltd., where he developed a foundation in corporate operations and innovation. His entrepreneurial spirit soon led him into business ventures that fused his skills in finance, technology, and strategic development.

Musical Roots and Community Involvement

A lifelong music enthusiast, Perry played the clarinet and trumpet in both the Gospel Fellowship Church Band and the S.C. McPherson Secondary School Band. He later added the keyboard and bass guitar to his repertoire, frequently playing in church services and community events.

Tennis Leadership and National Development

Perry’s leadership in tennis began in 2014 when he was elected to the Board of the National Tennis Centre (NTC Bahamas), where he served until 2018. In 2015, he became Public Relations Officer of the Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA), leading communications initiatives that elevated the association’s national profile.

He was elected Treasurer of the BLTA from 2016–2018, and from 2018–2020, he served as a Council Member and Head of Junior Development, focusing on player pathways and coach education. In 2020, Perry was elected President of the BLTA, bringing a vision for a sustainable tennis development model across The Bahamas. Under his presidency, the BLTA has expanded junior programs, strengthened island outreach, and upgraded national tennis infrastructure.

Regional Governance and COTECC Leadership

In 2021, Perry was elected President of COTECC Subregion 3, part of the Confederation of Tennis of Central America and the Caribbean (COTECC). His leadership was reaffirmed in 2023 when he was re-elected to a second term, reflecting widespread regional confidence in his collaborative approach and results-driven leadership.

In 2025, Perry was elected to serve as a Director on the COTECC Board, marking a significant achievement for The Bahamas and furthering his mission to elevate Caribbean tennis on the international stage.
